This Restaurant serves Authentic Mexican food in a quaint little place in Montclair, which is always full with locals. My husband and I always leave satisfied with the tasty great food. My husband and I went for breakfast and the food was excellent. The restaurant was very clean and the waiter was very nice. If you go in for breakfast "huevos rancheros" is a great choice.

I went here on the recommendation of my sister in law......I love albondigas and its hard to find places where they make it well! The best EVER is in the Moreno Valley/Riverside area called Chuyitas. It's absolutely FANTASTIC so I was not sure how Los Portales would stack up. It is NOT as good as Chuyitas but it is pretty darn good. Very fresh ingredients and tasty. Comes with tortillas, rice and chips and salsa. I recommend!

Consistently good Mexican food at decent prices. Be sure to look around for 2/1 coupons and specials. Found a combination plate 2/1 on the back of receipt from Stater Bros (2/2008). The bacon wrapped shrimp is very tasty.
